Fleming reunion photo with names

Myrna Casemore, Shirley Sprung, and Myrna’s husband Ray identified people in the reunion photo and created new photos with numbers and a separate list of names.  I’ve taken the photo ids and listing to create an image with “hotspots” so that as you mouse over a person’s face the name pops up.  However, this is a flash file that I have put in Dropbox (online storage) and it requires Adobe Flash Viewer. Click on the link below to locate the file in Dropbox and download it – then open the swf file. Sorry – it is a bit complicated but WordPress won’t allow it to be embedded in the posting.

If you are interested in the history of Scotland, especially as background for the Fleming heritage, check out TV Ontario programming.  TVO is rerunning the TV series produced by BBC in 2008 and 2009.  The story begins with the Picts, and passes through several bloody centuries of conflict and turmoil to the Stuarts and further trials to the present.   Videos to date on this run may be seen at http://www.tvo.org/programs/a-history-of-scotland

Fleming Reunion Big Success

One hundred and eleven people attended that Fleming Family reunion in Harrison Park, Owen Sound, on August 8th. Most were descendants of Alexander “Sandy” Fleming and Anne Garvie of Derby Township. Many thanks to Myrna Casemore for organizing the event.

People came from Toronto, Niagara Falls, Kitimat, B.C., Oakville, Lively, Copper Cliff, St Catharines, Georgian Bluffs, Creemore, Owen Sound, Carlton Place, Milton, Kingston, Mississauga, Tara, Trenton, Tara, London, Desboro, Ottawa, White Rock, B.C., Burlington, Kitchener, Guelph, Amherstview, Battersea, Collingwood, Bognor and Annan.
